“I’ve been wanting to go to the Scrap Exchange for several years, but didn’t take the time until recently. What a fabulous idea to create a place for people and businesses to donate items that would otherwise end up in the dump. And even more fabulous that the concept is to make art with these items. As a general contractor, I was able to make some donations of sample materials that would have otherwise been thrown away. Before you toss something in the trash, check the website to see if they accept donations for that item. You might be surprised. They have all kinds of stuff. I also took the opportunity to use the Make and Take Room for a random art project. It’s nice to get the creative juices flowing using random materials. This is a great place for kids and adults also.”
