Green Forum


The Scrap Exchange’s Green Forum, is our community, environmental awareness program. Each month, we will be hosting an interactive event to provide information on a wide range of environmental topics. We will have local groups presenting on topics in which they specialize. Each forum will be both informational and have an interactive activity. 

Schedule (Second Week of Each Month  –  Wednesday or Saturday): 

  • March 30th (12-4 pm): Sustainability Expo
  • April 10th (6:30-8:30 pm): Recycling in The Triangle: Simple Ways to Reduce Waste
  • May 11th (2:00-4:00 pm): From Bees to Trees: The Importance of Pollinators
  • June 15th (2:00- 4:00 pm): Home Hacks – Eco Friendly Cleaners and Composting
  • July 10th (6:30-8:30 pm): Our Plastic World
  • August 17th (2:00-4:00 pm): Solar (and a small component of Brownfields) 
  • September 14th (2:00-4:00 pm): Trashion Week  – The Negative Impact of Fast Fashion
  • October 9th (6:30-8:30 pm): How Consumers can Change Corporate Trends
  • November 9th (2:00-4:00 pm): Too Much Waste – Which Industries and Holidays are the Most Wasteful
  • December 14th (2:00-4:00 pm): Can’t Spell Earth without Art
