Ann May Woodward
Executive Director, The Scrap Exchange
Ann has been working in the Reuse Industry for over 20 years. She has worked at The Scrap Exchange as the Executive Director since 2003. During her tenure, the organization has won several awards including the 2011 North American Green Plus Sustainable Non-Profit of the Year and the 2011 NC Center for Non-Profits Sector Stewardship Award. She helped start the Cameron Gallery located inside The Scrap Exchange, which exhibits over 100 artists annually. She has also promoted the growth of the organization in an annual budget increase from $160,000 in 2004, $ 485,000 in 2013, to $670,000 in 2015.
Prior to directing The Scrap Exchange, Ann served as Education Coordinator at Materials for the Arts, a program of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. She is also a practicing artist and considers The Scrap Exchange one of her favorite and most impactful works in progress!
