On Sunday, January 18th, local poets will share their work with the public. Published authors Lou Lipsitz and Hugh Giblin will read their poetry, and afterwards community members can read their own. Poets are encouraged to share work that relates to the environment or reuse.
Lipsitz’s newest collection, “if this world falls apart” was published by Lynx House Press in 2011. Giblin’s work has appeared in local and online journals. His nonfiction has appeared in a men’s journal, and he has received honorable mention in Duke’s annual poetry contest.
This poetry open mic will continue on the third Sunday of each month throughout 2015. For more information, please contact Roderick McClain at gallery[at]scrapexchange.org.
