Introduction to Needle Felting 9/12/2019

Join us for an introduction to the sculptural art of needle felting. Enjoy getting to know this luxurious, natural material and the satisfaction of mindful handiwork. We will have a short introduction, some guiding points/examples, and one-on-one help as needed. Skills taught in this class will include: needle felting, 3-D skill building; visualization, self-expression, creating your own inspiration and motivation.

Beginning Screen Printing Class 9/20/19 *SOLD OUT!

Learn the basics of screen printing with members of the Supergraphic Print Lab team. Participants will create unique prints using traditional screen filler and cut stencil methods. Everyone can take home whatever they print! This workshop will not include the use of photographic emulsion. Registration is required. Space is limited.

Non-Adhesive Bookbinding 9/22/19

Students will be instructed in basic paper handling, non-adhesive book structures, and simple methods of personalization. Attendees will come away with a sketchbook they’ve made themselves along with the ability to make more in the future.

Intro to Zine-Making / Collaborative Zine Class 9/26/19

Ever wanted to write your own book or publish your own magazine? In this class we will learn to make a mini-magazine, collaboratively. Zines are handmade, usually self-published, mini magazines made for creative and personal expression as well as to spread knowledge. No prior knowledge or skills required and all materials are provided. Open to all ages.

Be Your Own Best Friend: Creating Affirmation Cards 9/28/19

Join us to change the way you think about you! In this class we will create “pick me up” cards from watercolor paper, acrylic paints, and collage materials. The Scrap Exchange will be providing the materials. Registration is required. Space is limited.

Beginning Sewing: Tote Bags 9/29/19

Always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine or spiff up your skills? Students will design and sew a class project using The Scrap Exchange’s awesome wealth of fabrics and trims. All tools and materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own sewing machine, fabric scissors, and/or fabrics.

Refund Policy

Refunds for class fees will be issued if the class is cancelled by The Scrap Exchange for any reason. If you register for a class and cannot attend, a refund will only be issued if you notify the Scrap Exchange at least 1 week before the class begins.
