The Scrap Exchange recognizes that the coronavirus situation develops and changes quickly.

EFFECTIVE TUESDAY, MARCH 17TH AT 3:00 PM, THE SCRAP EXCHANGE WILL CLOSE TO THE PUBLIC.

In the interest of public health and for the good of our employees, customers, partners and the community at large, the Scrap Exchange will limit our operation capacity and hours as we monitor this crisis. This was a difficult decision, which we did not make lightly. During this time we will not hold retail operations, workshops or classes. If you purchased a ticket or booked one of our events, we will reach out to you to provide a resolution for your specific situation.

We love our community are currently working on ways to serve, even from a distance. We are currently preparing craft boxes to support families with school-aged children now at home due to school closings, which will be available for purchase for $10. The boxes will be available via drive thru pickup. We will send out a link on social media and email as these become available. Please follow us on social media to stay tuned at we develop these measures or reopen service operations.

The Scrap Exchange has always depended on the support of the community and must, now more than ever. Since 90% of our financial budget comes from retail operations, without it our need for community support and individual donations has greatly increased. We are a nonprofit organization and seek the community’s support in the wake of this unprecedented and rapidly evolving crisis. Here’s how you can help support us:

  1. DONATE: We are a social enterprise and 90% of our operating income comes from store sales. A significant drop in customers means we are financially vulnerable. If you have the means, a donation to the Scrap Exchange will go a long way to support our survival.
  2. BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES : We understand you may not want to shop now, but purchasing a gift certificate for future use would help support us financially during this downturn.
  3. SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY: Financial strain will hit many of our local businesses and the people who work Here is a resource to support individuals and businesses in the community.
  4. SMILE WHILE YOU SHOP ONLINE: If you do shop on Amazon, shop through smile.amazon.com and select The Scrap Exchange as a community partner.

As the situation evolves, please follow us on social media for updates on our hours and happenings and join our newsletter via the form below to stay informed.  We greatly appreciate your support during this difficult time and grateful to have you as a part of our community and are as equally grateful to be a part of yours.

Please stay safe and healthy,

The Scrap Exchange
