Workshop: Clothing alterations for trans and nonbinary folx

Clothing alterations workshop for trans and nonbinary folks finding gender-affirming clothes that fit is hard. Learn to take control over your wardrobe by making your clothes fit you, not the other way around.

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of clothing construction and hand sewing. Then we will apply this knowledge by learning how to open a seam and add a panel. You’ll develop the skills needed to alter your own clothes in a safe, chill space. You’ll also be given a seam ripper that you can keep forever :)

Please know that this workshop is being held as part of the instructor’s social work graduate praxis work. The project report will focus on the instructor’s experiences and the planning of the event. No info on the participants will be collected or shared, but you will have the option to leave written feedback if you choose.
