For this workshop, students will be taught decorative and practical clothing repairs skills using a sewing machine. The students will be asked to bring an item from their own closet (preferably a woven garment like jeans/trousers, a button down shirt, or a jacket) that has a hole or stain that they would like to cover. Fabric for patching will be provided. If students do not have something to bring, materials will be provided to practice on. Each student will leave the class with a Mend Mother sewing kit.
