Workshop: Love Letters to Gender Expansiveness Workshop

Join The Gender Gallery for a night of centering love and care for each other by writing love letters to gender expansiveness, the transgender community, to a specific person or yourself. This workshop serves as a powerful site of resistance against the backdrop of a presidency that has centered transphobia and the 500+ proposed transphobic legislation that continues to spread across the country. Crafting space that centers trans and gender expansive community’s joy and love is a way of using our imagination and creativity as survival. Drop in to write a letter, participate in a collective reading, learn more about The Gender Gallery and be in community.

The Gender Gallery is an interdisciplinary documentary theatre project that explores the expansiveness of gender through creativity, community, and performance. We facilitate creative community workshops, devised documentary theatrical performances, and pop-up gallery experiences which celebrate gender expansive creativity while cultivating a creative archive about trans and gender-nonconforming lived experiences in the South.
